Paceman Sreesanth in Bangalore at his House
Shanthakumar Sreesanth, or Sreesanth as he likes to be called, has come a long way. The young lad from Kerala made an impressive debut in the ODI against Sri Lanka. Sreesanth seemed to be making it to the headlines for all the wrong reasons possible, with a lack of discipline topping the list. Shooting his mouth off at every opponent or the infamous slapping by colleague Harbhajan Singh, have been few instances that put this cricketer on a social low. Nevertheless, his attitude at the ICC World Cup this year seems to have put a full stop to all those mock-a-merry comments from critics.
The support he provided for team members from day one was evident and visible to all — be it running across the field with water bottles and towels for his team members, to his well-under-control emotions during the final match, Sreesanth took the nation by surprise.
“I have not slept for about four days,” confirmed Sreesanth, adding, “Winning the cup was our dream and the feeling of having won it, has still not sunk in. We’ve been partying day and night with all the members of the squad and it’s been fun.”
